About Us

About Us

Here at Fantastic Faces, we pride ourselves in delivering one of the best face painting experiences in East Yorkshire.

Fronted by local artist Milly Rose, our face painting is both artistic and colourful and adds a unique and personal touch to any event.

We enhance Children’s Parties, Weddings and Events by adding colour and sparkle with our unique face painting designs, henna tattoos, glitter, bump painting and body art.

Unlike some, we only use professional face painting equipment; creating our fabulous designs with our wide range of luxury face paints - including brands such as DFX, WOLFE, CHAMELEON, METHRON, GLOBAL and many more.

As of 2018, we decided to go 100% eco-friendly and now only use bio-degradable glitter and paints that are hypoallergenic. All our products are completely cruelty-free and vegan friendly.

About Milly

About Milly

Professional artist, Milly Rose, began Fantastic Faces in 2016; but has over a decade’s worth of experience as a practising face painter.

In 2017, she joined the Prince's Trust Enterprise programme, which enabled her to kick-start her journey as an entrepreneur.

Milly was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to train with one of the UK’s top face painters and has since won several large scale contracts with the likes of Unite the Union, St. Stephens Shopping Centre and both Hull and Beverley Councils. She is a proud advocate of Hull Pride and is thoroughly involved in LGBQT support.

Alongside this, Milly is also a respected painter who specialises in portraiture and large scale wall murals. She has held exhibitions at the Bank Side Gallery, Queens House, Bean and Nothingness, The Brain Jar and The Creative Lab (to name a few).

Her business has been featured in numerous publications and articles (both online and in print), and the BBC even decided to run a documentary piece on her for their #NoFilter series. Milly and her work have been featured on Look North, Radio Humberside, The Hull Daily Mail and Pick Me Up magazine.

In 2018, Milly enrolled in the FEO Ignition programme; designed to offer help to start-up businesses and run by the Community Interest Company (CIC) For Entrepreneurs Only. A few months after the end of the course, she became a full member of the organisation – a network of local businesses who collectively employ over 22,000 people and turn over £3.5bn each year.

A few months after that, she was asked to join their NxGen programme (headed by the non-executive chairman of Arco, Thomas Martin), asked with supporting enterprise within schools..

In this capacity, Milly has delivered workshops and talks designed to inspire the next generation and help them to realise their own dreams and unleash their full potential.

In 2019, she was awarded a substantial grant by the Princes Trust to help her expand her budding business; and is currently training to become a Young Ambassador for them.

Later that year, she was proud to be honoured with the Prince's Trust Award for Enterprise in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Her goal is to now become a Young Ambassador for the Trust and help mentor the next generation who want to get into business.

In 2021, she was named winner of the National Market Traders Federation Young Traders Award for the Hull Region.

In October of the same year, she was nominated for Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Hull Live Business Awards.
